Video Roots

Over the last couple years, the global situation steered me back towards my video roots. I spent over a decade living and working in NYC as part of the film and television industry. While I never intended to go back into film/video after switching to still photography, it has been a wonderful outlet for creativity.

Below is a small sampling of my new video portfolio.

Music Professor

The biggest project I’ve been a part of is with Music Professor. It’s the newest brand owned by Conn Selmer. The goal is to make it easy to learn a new instrument from professional players and educators. This is a short commercial we created from various lessons we created.

Brand Masterclasses

Conn Selmer owns many familiar brands. Each brand supports many sponsored artists. We wanted to give some of those artists a chance to share their experience and expertise. This is a short teaser featuring a few of the artists who have recorded masterclasses with us.

Guitar Performance

Alejandro Vilarrasa gave us a complete intro to playing guitar by presenting lessons designed by Music Will. He gave us a couple different performances, but this one on his beautiful Les Paul really stood out for me.

Cello Performance

Diana Yusupov gave us two levels of amazing cello classes. Here is one of her performances we recorded as part of her lessons. Check out her website by clicking HERE.

Drum-Set Performance

Nick Costa helped us create a level 2 lesson series for Music Professor. He gave us a couple different performances after a few days of recording lessons. This one was my favorite. Check out Nick’s website HERE.

Violin Performance

Dr. Immanuel Abraham gave us a deep dive into the basics of violin. Aside from having an incredible personal story, he is a masterful performer. I can listen to this performance all day. Visit Immanuel’s website HERE.

Online Conferences

Early in the pandemic, many music conferences that used to be in-person went online. I was hired by many to create promos, replays, and other digital media to support the effort. This video was created in my basement with some of the instruments in my house.

Mountain Bikes

I was hired to take some promo stills for Level Up. They are a mountain bike skills and tours team. I decided to take a little video during the shoot and put together this flashy opener.
